Teacher had lusty fling with pupil with ‘slow dancing’, nudes and the ‘cookie incident’

A teacher who had an alleged relationship with one of her students has been accused of slow dancing on the him during his prom and becoming the ‘talk of the school’ after the ‘cookie incident’

Scandalous new details have emerged surrounding an alleged relationship a gym teacher had with one of her students.

A police report has claimed the teacher sent the boy nude photos of her in lingerie and even “slowly danced” on her alleged victim during his prom night as the two were the “talk of the school.” Alisha Crins, 40, was charged earlier this year with two counts of third-degree sexual assault and has pleaded not guilty.

The former educator resigned from her job as a PE and health teacher at Ponaganset High School in Glocester, Rhode Island, US last year after she was accused of sexually assaulting a student. The alleged relationship started while the student was still a sophomore at the school. Text messages and police interviews have started to shed more light on the nature of the alleged relationship between the ex-teacher and student.

The police report revealed the student filed a sexual harassment complaint against the teacher on the same day she resigned in October last year.

The boy, who was 17 at the time of filing the complaint, graduated in the spring of 2024. The report alleged the teacher and the student passed each other gifts as their relationship was flagged to senior members of staff.

The report claimed the alleged victim attempted to send Crins a Valentine’s Day cookie leading to a series of events they dubbed in the report as the “cookie incident.” The teacher revealed to police the alleged victim also handed his former PE teacher a bouquet of flowers during a winter ball back in January 2024. The report said this behaviour was flagged to the school’s principal and vice principal.

Despite this Crins was not reprimanded over the alleged incidents. In the report the ex-educator stated she was forced to resign from her position at the school after texts between her and the student were shown to the superintendent and her husband. Crins’ previous husband filed for divorce after she resigned last year. The police affidavit added the teacher also sent the student salacious pictures of herself in lingerie while the boy was still at the school.

The affidavit added Crins sent the boy nude pics of herself undressed after he graduated. The teacher allegedly admitted she kissed her pupil back in April 2024, after the student drove her back to her neighbourhood. The former teacher is said to have mounted the student in the back seat of the car straddling him while the two of them made out.

According to the affidavit, Crins’ messaged the boy before the alleged kissing incident. One text reads: “I can’t believe I’m going to do this… You can’t tell anybody.” After the suspected kiss in the back of the car the teacher went on to send him a barrage of messages.

In one message she wrote she couldn’t “stop thinking about him” or his lips and added he was a good kisser, the report claims. Alongside this Crins was reportedly seen “slow dancing” on her alleged victim at the boys prom while he was only 17.

One student speaking to the Mail in March stated: “They were the talk of the school.” The student added: “’She was slow dancing with him. It was kind of like she was his prom date. It was just slow dancing, but everyone saw it.”

Crins’ case is currently ongoing as the teacher has been released on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond. The bond included numerous conditions such as the woman forfeiting her passport to authorities.

The Foster-Glocester Regional School Committee released a statement on the incident stating: “As consistently stated over the past seven months, the district has been cooperating with the attorney general and state police, and is now prepared to move forward with an investigation.”
