Carlos Vinicius is a loan target for top clubs in Europe and Brazil but Fulham will only consider offers for a permanent sale and want more than £9million.

Bayer Leverkusen in Germany, Sevilla and Valencia in Spain, Atlético-MG and São Paulo in Brazil are all interested in the 28-year-old Brazilian centre forward who has been little used by Marco Silva this season.

Vinicius, a former Tottenham, Benfica and PSV striker, is ready to leave Craven Cottage for a new challenge but fears the price tag will cost him the chance.

The greatest January signings…

Good discussion this. A lot of contenders to choose from.

Vidic and Evra to Man United and Virgil van Dijk to Liverpool are among the signings that spring to mind.

Seamus Coleman to Everton is another strong shout for inclusion.

Mail Sport’s Luke Power has been taking a look at some of the craziest Deadline Day stories ahead of the window closing tomorrow.

His run down includes the classic Peter Odemwingie moment, when he rocked up at QPR’s Loftus Road to complete a move.

Odemwingie had arrived believing that the two clubs had agreed a fee, but that wasn’t the case. With the dead ultimately collapsing.

Unsurprisingly, a few mentions of Harry Redknapp in this article too…

The latest on Armando Broja’s future from Sami Mokbel.

He reports a move will hinge on Chelsea’s £50million valuation of Broja.

The key factor in a both clubs striking a successful deal is understood to be Chelsea’s determination to recoup a huge sum for the 22-year-old.

West Ham are braced for an approach from Liverpool to poach highly-rated sporting director Tim Steidten after the January transfer window.

The Premier League leaders are in the market for a new sporting director after Jorg Schmadtke announced he will leave the club at the end of the week. The German is one of five high-profile departures at Anfield, including his close ally Jurgen Klopp and three coaches.

Liverpool have already seen former sporting director Michael Edwards reject the chance to return to the club in a new role, after Mike Gordon, president of owners Fenway Sports Group, floated the idea of him occupying a more senior role to oversee the restructure of the club.

With just over 36 hours left in the January transfer window, time is running out for clubs looking to complete deals before the deadline.

The transfer market has been characterised by a distinct lack of big moves this summer, with clubs looking to rein in their spending to comply with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations.

All the same, rumours continue to swirl around as we approached deadline day, with Tottenham linked with a move for £50million-rated Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke and still weighing up an offer for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.
