The PGA Tour is in Phoenix this week for one of the most hotly anticipated tournaments of the year.

This is, of course, the tournament where one hole grabs most of the attention.

The Phoenix Open 16th hole to notorious for its rowdy fans and intimidating atmosphere.

Bit it’s not all about that. The PGA’s big guns are here and Rickie Fowler is already seeking to stake an early claim for the title.

Spain’s Jon Rahm is also in contention, while Brandt Snedeker and Phil Mickelson are eyeing the challenge for the trophy.

“It’s hard to believe it’s been that long since I’ve won here,” said Mickelson, who last won the Phoenix Open five years ago.

“I just look forward to this week every year, and I cherish every time I’ve had success here.

“I cherish coming down the back nine having an opportunity to win. It’s an environment unlike any other.”

Rahm said Mickelson: “What am I going to say about Phil Mickelson that you guys don’t know?

“He’s one of the greatest guys out here. He’s always been a great friend and mentor to me.

“He’s helped me out on everything he’s been able to help me out on, in college and out of college.

“We just have a lot of fun together.

“I love playing practice rounds with him, I love joking around with him and we all know how much he loves joking around.”
