Manchester United have been linked with a move for Vidal amid uncertainty over the Chile international’s Bayern Munich future.

The Bundesliga giants’ deal for Leon Goretzka is likely to see Vidal fall down the pecking order and, as a result, United are confident they can pair him with compatriot Alexis Sanchez at Old Trafford.

And the Manchester Evening News say the Chile international is one of four players being eyed for the end of the season.

Vidal’s potential move is likely to generate much excitement – and wariness – among the Red Devils support.

Louis van Gaal looked to have snared the player at the end of his first season in charge three years ago.

But Bayern, like they would do for Renato Sanches 12 months later, gazumped Manchester United by landing the midfielder.

However, United are hopeful Vidal can coax the best out of Sanchez and Paul Pogba.

But the Bayern Munich star is not the only player on the Red Devils’ radar.

United have, the MEN say, supposedly upped their interest in Borussia Dortmund duo Christian Pulisic and Julian Weigl.

Pulisic has regularly been tipped to reunite with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

But United have sent scouts to watch both him and Dortmund team-mate Weigl in action.

The Red Devils have also cast their eye towards replacements for Michael Carrick.

It was confirmed last month the 36-year-old will leave in the summer and likely take up a role in Jose Mourinho’s coaching team.

And Napoli star Jorginho is reportedly the man Mourinho is keen on most.

Those four are not the only players being tipped to join United.

The 20-time league champions are also set to reignite their interest in the likes of Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann.
