Rodriguez remains close to players at Real Madrid despite leaving the Bernabeu for Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich back in the summer.
Speculation has been rife that Neymar is set to call time on his PSG after just one season in favour of moving to Real in the summer.
Los Blancos are set to embark on an overhaul of their squad come the summer and Florentino Perez is supposedly obsessed with bringing Neymar to the Bernabeu.
And Spanish website Don Balon claims Rodriguez expects Neymar to sign for the club – but only if Zidane is sacked.
It is said Real Madrid already have an agreement with Neymar about a move.
The PSG star will likely be sold for around £200million, the same amount PSG paid to prise him away from Barcelona back in the summer.
Neymar has been in devastating form this season, driving Unai Emery’s side towards the Ligue 1 title.
But a parting of the ways could be in the offing should Real come calling.
The club have a unique appeal about them that has seen them successfully land the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Kaka and Karim Benzema in the past decade.
But Don Balon say Rodriguez thinks Neymar will only move if Zidane is sacked.
The Frenchman has steered the club to consecutive Champions League titles since taking over from Rafa Benitez two years ago.
And he also helped them win a first La Liga title since 2012 last season.
But with the title out of reach, Zidane’s future is uncertain and failure to deliver silverware will likely see him sacked.
Chelsea’s Antonio Conte, Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp and Germany’s Joachim Lowe have all been tipped to take over.Â
