Atletico Madrid shotstopper Oblak is in demand with both Liverpool and Arsenal keen to snap him up.
The Slovenia international has been in fine form for the La Liga giants ever since arriving from Portuguese side Benfica back in the summer of 2014.
During that time Oblak has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in world football.
As a result, Liverpool and Arsenal are set to do battle for his services when the transfer window reopens at the end of the season.
Arsenal are supposedly set to scout him out with the Gunners eager to replace the waning Petr Cech, who has struggled for consistency this campaign.
But the Evening Standard say Arsene Wenger’s side’s only hope of signing him will be if they somehow fight their way to a top four spot or win the Europa League.
Arsenal made a splash in the January window by landing Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund respectively.
Yet despite pulling off both deals in spectacular circumstances, things are set to be different with Oblak.
Liverpool want the Atletico star to replace Simon Mignolet, who looks set to be shown the door.
And they are likely to land him ahead of Arsenal given their current position in the table.
Liverpool currently sit third in the table and two points clear of fifth-placed Tottenham.
And they should land Oblak ahead of his other admirers if they keep up their fine form.
The Atletico ace, however, will not come cheap with the player having a huge £89million release clause.Â
