The Gunners wrapped up a deal worth £56m this week to sign Aubameyang from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.

And that hefty fee made him the club’s record signing, usurping Lacazette who moved to the Emirates from Lyon last summer.

Questions have been raised over whether Wenger will be able to field the hitmen in his starting XI due to their similarities.

And this morning the Arsenal boss has conceded he’s not yet made a decision about whether Lacazette and Aubameyang will play together.

“It’s always possible,” he said.

“Will I do it? Maybe.

“I don’t know, but I think it’s possible.”

Wenger also denied speaking to Lacazette in the wake of Aubameyang’s arrival.

“I don’t reassure people,” he added.

“We are in a competitive world.

“We have also chosen a job where there is competition, you have to fight for your place.”

Arsenal are sixth in the Premier League at present, eight points adrift of the Champions League qualification spots.
