Patricia Barber has found a new career as a successful fashion model at 82 years youngÂ
Patricia is now signed with Silverfox MGMT, Australia’s first agency to exclusively represent models over the age of 30
‘I always said to my three daughters that there’s always beautiful clothes for young women, but nothing for the old lady,’ she told Today.Â
‘And it annoyed me, because I love clothes.’
When Patricia asked her daughters if she should try for the modelling gig, they gave her their enthusiastic blessing.Â

And the mum-of-four has been booked for all kinds of editorial shoots, modelling everything from casual to activewear and formal gowns – with a tire prop to boot.
She also recently travelled from her home in Tamworth to Brisbane to do a shoot for women’s fashion line Adrift.Â
Patricia was joined by her daughter Johnny Hobson, who said her mother was an ‘inspiration’.Â
‘She’s pretty stunning isn’t she?’ Johnny said on Today. ‘She has so much fun.’

‘It gives you inspiration at what she has done to be fit and healthy. And that’s why at nearly 83 she’s able to do what she’s doing.’

She also keeps fit by taking care of her garden, and mows the lawn herself.
So it would come as no surprise that Patricia is known for bringing more spunk than some models who are decades younger. Â

‘Patricia had even more energy than some of our models who were less than half her age,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.Â
‘It’s a brilliant example of someone who loves what they do and doesn’t let a number get in the way!’Â Â Â
As for Patricia, she’s loving every minute of her new career.Â
‘It’s absolutely unbelievable,’ she said.Â
‘It is glamorous, it’s a lovely experience, and I’m having a ball with it.’Â Â Â
