Super Mario Odyssey could get new DLC on Nintendo Switch.
During its recent earnings call, Nintendo said that it wants to encourage fans to play for longer.
The company also wants to build excitement for new releases by holding more events.
“To promote longer gameplay for individual software titles, we plan to implement even more downloadable content and events that build excitement for games,” Nintendo revealed.
Nintendo didn’t specifically mention any titles, but Super Mario Odyssey fans will be hoping for a substantial expansion for the game.
The company will revisit the title when it releases the brand new Balloon World mini game, which tasks one player with hiding a balloon while another tries to find it.
The update will also adds new filters for the snapshot mode, as well as new outfits for Mario.
Speaking of Super Mario Odyssey, it was recently revealed that the game has sold a massive 9 million units.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is on 7.33 million sales, followed by Zelda: Breath of the Wild with 6.7million units and Splatoon 2 at nearly 5 million.
Nintendo has also managed to banish the Wii U blues in just nine months, as Switch hardware and game sales soar.
The Nintendo Switch has sold 14.86 million units, surpassing the Wii U’s 13.5 million lifetime sales.
And Nintendo can expect to sell even more thanks to an amazing new deal available at Argos.

Nintendo Switch consoles can be picked up for £279.99 with no games.
