Sony is about to reveal the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games for October 2024. If the company sticks to the usual schedule, then the PlayStation Plus Extra games will be unveiled at 4.30pm BST UK time on the afternoon of October 9. The PS4 and PS5 games will be available to download and play less than a week later, on the morning of October 15. Based on a recent Sony announcement during the September State of Play event, it looks like Dino Crisis and Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain will be available as part of the Classics Catalog for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers. As for the PS Plus Extra games, fans have been attempting to predict the line-up ahead of the official reveal.
According to the latest predictions thread over on Reddit, multiple people think Resident Evil Village will join the Extra line-up in October.
With Halloween just a few weeks away and with a sequel reportedly in the works, the addition of Resident Evil Village makes a lot of sense. Considering other games from the series are already on PS Plus, it also feels long overdue.
Various other horror games are tipped to appear in October, with titles like Dead Island 2, The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me, Outlast Trials and Blasphemous 2 all appearing in the predictions thread.
After recently leaving Xbox Game Pass, first-person horror game Scorn is another popular pick, alongside fellow recent Game Pass title Atomic Heart.
One game that also gets a few mentions is Lies of P. Inspired by the likes of Bloodborne, the popular Soulslike launched roughly a year ago.
While it may be too soon for Lies of P to appear on PS Plus Extra, it would be a good way of boosting interest ahead of the launch of DLC.
Elsewhere, games like Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora, Twelve Minutes, Final Fantasy 16, Viewfinder, RoboCop: Rogue City, Jusant and Lords of the Fallen are all mentioned.
That’s on top of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Planet Zoo, Hades, Rise of the Ronin and High on Life.
The usual suspects like Sonic Frontiers, Viewfinder, Forspoken and Suicide Squad also get a mention. Surely one of them will join the line-up this month.
Suicide Squad, in particular, needs all the help in can get. The live-service game just launched its third season, although player counts continue to drop.
Daily Express will update this article with all the latest updates, information and leaks ahead of the PS Plus Extra reveal for October.
