Tom Parker’s mum had ‘instant’ reaction as The Wanted star’s widow announces pregnancy

Kelsey Parker, the widow of The Wanted star Tom Parker, is expecting her third child – her first with new boyfriend Will Lindsay – and has spoken out about the news

Kelsey Parker is all smiles as she announces her pregnancy with her new boyfriend, Will Lindsay.

The happy news is tinged with sadness for Kelsey, who said she and her late husband – The Wanted’s Tom Parker – had dreams of having a family-of-four together. The couple welcomed two children before Tom’s death from brain cancer in March 2022 at the age of 33 left Kelsey a young widow.

“Tom and I always said we wanted four – but life had other plans. So yes, this is amazing but also bittersweet,” Kelsey told OK!.

Kelsey added that her mother-in-law welcomed the news with open arms. “Tom’s mum Noreen gave me her blessing instantly,” she said. “She can’t wait to have another grandchild. All I care about is that both our families and Tom’s family are happy.”

She added that Noreen is the “most amazing lady” and has been supportive of her ever since her husband’s death. “After Tom passed, she said to me, ‘As long as you’re happy Kels, whatever you do, we will always support you and be happy for you.’ We’ve all been through so much together.”

Tom is very much still a part of Kelsey’s world, with the couple having spent more than 13 years together, and new partner Will offers his full backing. He believes that acknowledging Tom’s role in Kelsey’s past is completely natural: “Tom was a massive part of Kelsey’s life,” he said. “It’s normal to talk about him a lot. I think it would be weird if we didn’t.”

During an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine with Ranvir Singh, Kelsey said: “Will once said he never wants me to not talk about Tom. He talks about him and loves hearing stories about him.

“There’s a massive picture of Tom upstairs. He walked past it once, smiled at me and went, ‘Oh, he’s handsome though, isn’t he?!’”

Kelsey opened up about the lasting impact of Tom in their daily life, saying: “For us at home, Tom is so alive in our house and we speak to him everyday. For my children, they are still babies and they are still processing it everyday so these conversations are never going to go away and we are still dealing with the conversation.”
