An alleged suicide note from the New York gunman who killed four people has been revealed. Shane Tamura, aged 27, from Las Vegas went on a murderous rampage at 345 Park Avenue in New York during rush hour last night.

He arrived shortly before 6.28pm in a black BMW carrying an AR-15-type rifle, walked into the entrance of the building and shot and killed a police officer. The rampage continued as he fired more bullets across the building, hitting a man and a woman before going into the life – shooting a security guard who was hiding behind a desk on his way there.

Oddly, a woman came out of the lift and was able to walk past the gunman unharmed as he let her do so. However, another woman on the 33rd floor where he eventually ended up was not so lucky as he shot her, before turning the gun on himself.

And it has now emerged that the building being the offices of the NFL was potentially no coincidence.

According to a source speaking to CNN, a suicide note scrawled on three pages of paper was found at the scene, in which Tamura blamed the sport for medical issues.

Although unverified by the police, CNN claims the note states: “Terry Long football gave me CTE and it caused me to drink a gallon of antifreeze.

“You can’t go against the NFL, they’ll squash you. Study my brain please I’m sorry Tell Rick I’m sorry for everything.”

CTE, or chronic traumatic encephalopathy, is an Alzheimer’s-like disease has been most commonly associated with football players – it is also the same disease that former WWE star Chris Benoit was diagnosed with after murdering his wife and son before taking his own life in 2007.

CNN report Terry Long was a former football player for the Pittsburgh Steelers who was diagnosed with CTE. He died by suicide in 2005.

In total, the gunman killed four including the police officer who was later identified as Didarul Islam, from the Bronx precinct.

Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said in a press conference later that he was “doing the job that we asked him to do.”

It was later confirmed that he was of Bangladesh origin and had a pregnant wife, and two sons. No other details about the three other victims have been made public yet.

In total, four people were killed while a fifth was critically wounded – no update has been given on their status but they are believed to be an NFL employee.

According to NCB, Caleb Clarke, a former classmate and high school football teammate of the killer, said Tamura “was the biggest goofball in the world, just a ton of energy, class clown”, and added that he “never would have thought violence was something you’d associate with him.”
