The British strongman, nicknamed ‘The Beast’, dominated his more experienced rival Mariusz Pudzianowski from the offing, tossing him to the floor before battering him in the head

Strongman Eddie Hall announced himself to the world of MMA in terrifying fashion by brutally knocking out Polish fighter Mariusz Pudzianowski within 30 seconds of his debut fight.

The super-heavyweight showdown between Hall and Pudzianowski, both former Strongest Man winners, had been billed as a close match up, but British beefcake Hall showed his superiority within seconds, landing a savage right hand to his opponent’s temple, before throwing the Pole across the floor.

Once downed, the vastly more experienced Pudzianowski was tormented to a torrent of blows to the head, before the referee mercifully waved it off.

It was a stunning way to cap off Hall’s who goes by the nickname The Beast, move into MMA, following his boxing loss to Thor Bjornsson back in 2022.

And considering Pudzianowski boasts 27 professional MMA fights – with no losses – the style and speed of the victory will no doubt turn some serious heads in the world of combat sport.

Hall, 37, had warned pre-fight that his “standing and banging” style would be too much for Pudzianowski, and he was proven emphatically right in the Polish city of Gliwice.

Reaction online was instant and wild, with fans both impressed and bewildered by the sheer brutality of the finish.

One fan wrote: “Bloody hell he moves fast for a massive bloke,” while another joked, “They legalised back of the head punches??” Others marvelled at the sheer mismatch in size and strength, with one comment reading: “Eddie Hall makes Mariusz Pudzianowski look small.”

The scenes left many calling for more big-man fights, with suggestions that fellow strongman legend Brian Shaw should be next to step into the cage.

Hall, who famously won World’s Strongest Man in 2017, has made it clear he has no plans to slow down his fighting ambitions. And considering this statement win, it’s likely the MMA world will be hearing more from ‘The Beast.’
