In an interview Gordon insisted he had a good relationship with Brooklyn but believed it is his ‘infatuation’ with his wife Nicola Peltz which caused him to cut ties with his parents.

Gordon Ramsay has had his fingers burnt after turning up the heat in the Beckham family feud. Brooklyn Beckham has unfollowed the telly chef on Instagram after he told him to “remember where he came from”.

Gordon, 59, is best pals with his dad David and broke his silence over the rift that has split their family. In an interview he insisted he had a good relationship with Brooklyn but believed it is his “infatuation” with his wife Nicola Peltz which caused him to cut ties with his parents.

The 26-year-old has since unfollowed the chef but stopped short of blocking him. Friends of the Ramsays suspect Brooklyn and his wife are furious that he has waded into his war with Victoria, 51, and David, 50.

An insider said: “Brooklyn and Nicola clearly don’t want any criticism at all. They just don’t want to hear any negativity about themselves.”

Gordon said he felt it is only “a matter of time” before Brooklyn realises “what his parents mean to him”. He said: “He’s desperate to forge his own way, and I respect that from him. It’s such a good thing to do.

“But remember where you came from. And honestly, one day you’re not going to have your mum and dad, and you need to understand that. That penny will drop.

“Brooklyn and I have messaged a little bit, our relationship is solid. I love him – his heart is incredible.

“But it’s hard, isn’t it, when you’re infatuated? Love is blind. It’s easy to get up on that rollercoaster, and get carried away. But it will come back.”

Gordon also poured cold water on the claim that Posh Spice “hijacked” Brooklyn’s first dance with Nicola at their wedding in 2022 and danced inappropriately with him.

He added: “We were there at the wedding. There was nothing salacious. There was nothing inappropriate. Everyone was having fun, having a dance.”

Meanwhile, Victoria appeared to extend an olive branch to Brooklyn as she reshared Harper’s Valentine’s tribute to all three of her big brothers on Insta.

Posting a throwback snap of them all when they were younger, she said: “Happy Valentine’s Day to the best big brothers in the whole wide world x.”

Resharing the post from her daughter’s private account, Posh added a heart emoji as she expressed her love for her children.
