The problem is injuries to star players for playing 82! Games! , load management as a result, then when fans see a team without the best players. People don’t watch. Also there’s a shift in power. Lebron and the old guard are ending in a few years and there is not many cemented super stars coming in, Zion, Luka, ja Morant are still to young. AD and giannis don’t have that superstar personality. Only embidd has it and he is injury prone and sometimes just don’t play as well as he should.

Reasons for me;
1) Game is way too interrupted by TOs, advertising, fouls
2) Half of the plays are defined by freethrows
3) The new style of play dominated by fast pace and three pointers isn’t fun to watch
4) Players don’t play as hard in the regular season -
NBA has made the actual game so pathetically boring
Big men need 2b allowed to shine. 5 out is a bore fest

Well, the NBA's household favorite team where the bandwagons united and multiplied especially when KD joined is not in good pace this season that's why the ratings aren't high.

Answer: YouTubeYoung NBA fans, and even those in my age bracket which is 35+, aren't watching TV or cable like we did ten years ago. We open our laptops or phones and go online. Those ratings aren't captured. So, of course ratings are down. This is common sense. ESPN trying to make a big deal of this to headline that "ratings are down" is a non-starter in terms of capturing actual ratings (Local, National or via the web).

I love basketball but I think the NBA is boring. Not enough rivalry games not enough games of the weeks, and a lot of the stars are boring to watch. I would rather watch the 10 min highlights then a entire game also.

It's because the media bastardized the conversation of great to just being about rings. So what's the purpose and the point of actually watching the regular season? It's the media. The whole time you was growing up, you watched the games because they were exciting. Dunks, crossovers, game winners
Yet every year to tell you yeah you well for 82 games of the season, but you did nothing in the playoffs so you're not good. So effectively you rule out careers of guys like Carmelo Anthony, Karl Malone, Reggie Miller, Allen Iverson, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Steve Nash and say that unless you have a piece of Hardware then it means nothing what you did for the course of an entire season and the small portion of the playoffs.

Here in the Philippines we have NBA Coverages 24/7 All year round before but when the contract expired they are having a hard time making another CONTRACT DEAL to make because of the pricing and the money the NBA asking the local Network Providers they asking are too high. Hope they could work this through before playoffs begin and finals to kick in. Philippines also has a huge fanbase aside from the U.S..

I think they're are 2 main problem. Media coverage on only a few select teams i.e. LA Lakers and NBA in general turning into a 3-point contest, the team with the most 3 pointers scored wins.
