MLB needs to stop awarding teams for tanking by giving them draft picks, raise the salary cap, and create a min cap for those teams that keep tanking.
Would love to see Yanks get MadBum
Get rid of the DH. It’s horrible.
Fair point
Make all new ball parks with walls The Green Monster in Boston…the whole outfield fence….Make hitters hit for a high average again….Too many slack hitters getting cheap home runs.
Diamondbacks? Is that dude serious?
Good.. no Brian Kenny
Maybe the Angel's will get into the wild card but not the ALDS
Anyone who has played…. has a routine. A routine for fielding and one for when you're up to bat. Some are extreme, yes but nonetheless they get you ready to hit the ball. They will complain about the shift and then defend hitters not being able to adjust. Routines are what get you ready and comfort you to help you with those adjustments. I find it funny people who are not playing are throwing out how baseball should be played..
Umpires, most of the time, do a great job when in a game that has quick action on the field and can be hard game to call. But there are time when it's really hard to call. For example, since instant replay started in 2014, 47%-49% of challenged calls were overturned and it's allowed the game to be determined on the merits of the payers and not a misperception from the angle the umpires are standing at. With how we can see the strike zone now, we can all see when a wrong call was made. I think instant replay should be allowed, at least in a strike 3 scenario. Enough of the ejections from an argument on a called pitch.
There is a easy way to get rid of the shift. Play small ball… bunting is way less a timing thing than hitting a baseball. Get down a good push punt. If they shift on you, you will be hitting 1.000. But Teams these days dont bunt anymore at all… To score runs you need to get on base somehow, if they open up a side of the field thats where i am going all the time.
InStItUtE a PiTcH cLoCk, BaN tHe ShIfT, SHUTTTT UPPPPPP and stop bitching about it, leave Baseball how Baseball should be played
Royals
How come every year we have to make rule changes!?
Maybe they should have a DH in the national league…fans pay a lot of money to watch at least 6 almost guaranteed outs let alone if they come up at a crucial time…I get the whole purity of playing that way but personally I like the DH..
And no mention of the Astros????
It's a bit too early isn't it?
CHI SOX 2019
If the Reds pick up one more quality starting pitcher they will be a wildcard team and maybe even win the division
Surprise team… Tampa Bay Rays… wins a Wild Card spot with 97 or more wins.
Bold prediction… Yasiel Puig hits 50 or more home runs for Reds. Reds as a team hit 240 or more home runs.
Rule changes… Expand active rosters to 27 players. Limit rosters to 30 players after August 31. Limit consecutive foul balls after strike 2 to 5 foul balls.
Tampa Bay Rays
Rays will surprise a lot of teams once again next year watch
Dodgers and Red Sox are gonna have a rematch, with Dodgers winning this one..
Jon Heyman saying Mike Trout getting to the playoffs is "Too bold" yet in the next sentence just drinks that annual Mets cool-aid and thinks they'll win the division. They ain't doing shit homie.
