He preferes the money. Thats it. He would probably prefer to play for watford(as an example) over a Betis because of the money. EPL has good teams but after to top6/7 teams, the rest of the teams are just ok or dreadfull(Cardiff, Southampton, Fulham). He should be more worried in getting time in a good team instead of the team (for example Lyon is a lot better than any team outside the top6 in the EPL)

The a-league and my local Sunday league is more competitive than any comp in europe, that doesn't mean that the quality of play is decent though. Epl fans are really clutching at straws to prove that their comp is the best when in reality the epl is a former shadow of what it was 10 years ago and the reality is that the competitive nature of the league can only go so well before it holds the big teams back and becomes detrimental to their quality as is proven in Europe.
This bloke is entitled to choose which league he likes. His choice does sum up the stagnant ability and the lack of confidence in his playing career.

La Liga has much better teams all around than the Premier League. By a long way too. Other than the top 6, the PL is absolutely terrible, whereas La Liga has teams that are full of quality and play better football than the teams in the PL, with way less money spent.

He's smart to want to avoid La Liga as a young player, the distribution of quality is much more skewed than in the Premier League and he'd never get consistent playing time on a quality La Liga side.
