The problem is that in the past the Spanish two giants could wait till superstars and top players were made at other clubs and they just swoop in, now times have changed the power, the world wide popularity of other leagues and the money involved as stopped players going to these two clubs and other teams are catching up in their own league. This will be a good thing moving forward for the Spanish league.

I don‘t see Barça being without any plan for the future. They just bought de Jong from Ajax, have Alena, Oriol and Puig, bought Arthur who has made a huge positive impact in Barça, they have Dembele who‘s just getting better and better (now he‘s injured, I know) as striker, and in goal they have ter Stegen, who can still play on highest level for 8-10 seasons and they have some defenders who can still development and become very good. And these are just some examples for Barça‘s future. Maybe they should buy another good striker talent who can grow under Suarez’ teachings and another left or right defender able to develop under Jordi or Roberto/Semedo, but that’s wuiet everything they really have to improve theirselves in the next years

Stop drinking at work. La liga is significally better than any other League despite Messi getting older and Ronaldo leaving. The impressive depth in the smaller clubs and simply higher quality football in the League in general says it all. NO other League isnt even close. Mid-table teams in spain would crush their equals from England…

I dont know why people assume, that English clubs are at an financial advantage compared to Barcelona and Madrid.
Manchester United made a total of 676 million € last year.
Madrid 674 and Barcelona 648 million € which puts them at number 1 and 2.
Besides Manchester United, there is no team that can even compete with these two giants.
4th is Munich with 587 million€ and 5th is City with 527 million€.
Obviously the PL has a lot more money overall, but these two spanish giants are not to be underestimated.
Barcelona has the most expensive team for a reason. -

I get the point about la liga that since madrid are not a favoutite any more for UCL but on the other hand la liga itself has improved, now it's not about real or barca other 18 teams are also putting the fight for the title. This season la liga is the most exciting league.

La liga 3 ucl between 2000-2006 without messi/ronaldo and with the likes of zidane, r9, dinho, deco etc. Valencia also reaching 2 finals in that period, and 3 europa trophies from sevilla and benitez's Valencia. Not to mention dozens of other elite players in la liga (griez, ramos, hernandez, varane, suarez etc) and la liga players/coaches who left to dominate the prem (torres, de gea, silva, fabregas, cazorla, pep, poch, pelligrini, benitez etc). Spain has won 9/last 10 uel and ucl. But yeah la liga is just messi and Ronaldo lool fucking idiots keep drinking the sky sports kool aid
