Someone tell her that she's wrong by focusing on improving her credit score. That only proves she's good at getting into more debt. She needs to worry about just making more money.
LOL. “now i have to work on me credit”. wow. just wow. her plan is to become a good borrower again to get back to being in debt. guarantee you she racks up $50k in credit card debt because she never had to learn her lesson the hard way. but she will. how about this… SAVE SOME CASH AND STAY DEBT FREE.
I don’t agree with how this resolved. I genuinely fee for her that her father died. I can’t imagine how painful a loss like that is. However, hundreds of hours of teaching, rent, books, etc. should not be free just because she expected someone else to go back to work to pay her debts and unexpectedly they were unable to do so. This does not teach accountability. Unexpected circumstances happen all of the time. And we have to take the risk of these things happening into account before taking on debts. We can’t expect them to be washed away. She could have enlisted herself and gotten the GI bill. Active duty members can also transfer unused GI bill to their children. In addition, there are survivor benefits for dependents of servicemen she might of been able to take advantage of. It just doesn’t make sense to go into that much debt if you yourself aren’t able to pay it back. Society shouldn’t have to pick up that much of a tab. We’ve already got $21,000,000,000 we should be working on.
her father was a true hero.
My daddy was a drunken wino…can I go to college for free now too?
Good for you…. not so much for the other millions that owe the 1.3 trillion.
That's nice! There's always Hope! But there so millions of graduates with so much debt. She's blessed!
I am glad for her that she got debt free, but life is a very heavy price for shitty education. Its not worth it.
That's actually very not fair. What about those who don't have family that have past away while serving?
Well this should have happened the minute he passed away. Why do the children of military parents have to worry about student loans they should be forgiven. Smh
Shanikua should have joined the army and gotten the gi bill instead of crying
Just got out of debt and already thinking of getting more loans lmao
Grace
so glad for her!
First!
