Cheney tweeted her response to Pelosi’s letter: “I read your letter, @SpeakerPelosi. The truth is you are blocking money for American families facing economic devastation, and you refuse to call the House into session or let us operate remotely in a time of national crisis. Dump the partisan invective and do your job.”
The tweet calls attention to Pelosi’s refusal along with that of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to add $250 billion to the Paycheck Protection Program that has already depleted $350 billion in just two weeks.
The House will now be adjourned until May 4, and did not take any action on adding funds before adjourning. Democrats wanted to add billions of dollars in additional aid to hospitals, states, local governments, as well as a 15% increase in food stamp benefits.
It’s sad that Democrats are holding up aid that American businesses badly need because they aren’t getting everything they want all at once.

CNN and others should cover The "Ruth Chris Steakhouse" controversy. Apparently they used loop holes in the CARES act to get $20 million dollars for a company with 5000+ employees. Not a "small" business (less than 500 employees), and the CARES act states $10 million maximum payout. WTH!
