I think it would have been better if there was a limit to one or two players per team, I don't want to see a mostly Man City Team of the season

Leon is so right. Son not being considered for Player of the Season is just not right. He carried the team at the beginning of the season when Kane was off his game. We would not be in the top four now if it wasn't for his consistency at the beginning of the season.

Tarkowski has highest clearances/blocks per 90 min because his team allows a lot of shots. It should have been % cleared/blocked relative to opponents' shot attempts.

Not a huge fan of purely statistical analysis, but it’s better than pundits giving their opinions. Tarkowski and Vardy are the only questionable choices.

I think you need to add about 3 metrics per position and add them up to paint the true picture. 1 metric per position is silly.

Son contribution to team with limited weapons and he had to carried team in early season. If Son struggles there was no one who was threaten to score until Kane slump end. Also Son is two way player. Liverpool, Man City play with possession and not bring forward on defensive zone.

If stats matter, Grant Hanley was a close second in aerial challenge %, and a close 3rd in clearance/block as well and should have the highest score for CB as he is the only player in top 5 for both categories. Of course his team was on the 20th place..may be his team defended more than any other teams…haha
