Also WHY NOT get those people that worked for those businesses clean properly on the voluntary basis because some people just dont know how to clean up NOTHING LET ALONE SOMETHING , and get that done while the places are closed, they would still be able to be employed. Although the anti-lockdown protests are getting a lot of attention, new research from Loyola Marymount finds that 95% of L.A. residents support the city's stay-at-home policy to slow the spread of coronavirus. L. A. County has 25,699 covid cases with 1,229 deaths. It is projected to have over 50,000 cases in the next couple weeks with another 1,000 families losing their loved. Very sad. Orange County has 2,743 cases with 5,500 case projected in a couple weeks. Covid cases and deaths would surge out of control if L. A. Beaches were not closed. Newport Beach and Orange County could have a big surge in cases and deaths if those from L.A. flood our beaches without social distancing. Lifeguards estimate 40,000 people on Newport Beach last weekend. Most were from other cities and counties. Many did not practice social distancing. A guy sweating profusely ran by within a foot of me while I was putting on my rash guard. He wasn't wearing a mask. No one was wearing masks as they came went coming from the beach all day long on crowed 4 foot wide sidewalks. They had to turn sideways to let people pass. It was a similar situation in Huntington. I love the Newport but I do not want the people I love or anyone to get covid and die. Many politicians will speak against Governor Newsom's order trying to score political points. Their chief concern is getting elected, not the sick and dying. Then you have the protesters who don't understand medical science. Many come from long distances to yell and protest without masks to get their photo in the paper. They think they are smarter than our health experts. When they get covid, they will pray to God they will get a doctor that is smarter than they are. I pray our heroic doctors and nurses don't die trying to save people who put everyone in harm's way. Heath experts tell us we need more testing to see who has covid and do contact tracing so we can put healthy people back to work. . Hard to do contact tracing with 40,000 at the beach. 99% of the more than 3.176 million residents of Orange County have not even been tested yet. During the 1918 Spanish flu on September 28, Philadelphia had a parade. Within 2 weeks 4,500 people in Philadelphia died. I want the beach open and everything back to normal as soon as possible. That can only happen if we listen to our health experts.
