Just bought my first raised garden bed. It’s a Birdies. 🙂 wish me luck. I’m going with perpetual spinach on your advice.
I’m self sufficient. I dont buy shit online. Especially stuff for my garden
Been waiting for theses to be available in the states, though they're a bit more expensive than I expected. Still going to try to budget for one, they're a dream edition to any garden!
Looking good mate. You lose some weight?
I will have to add this to the list of things, Looks awesome.
Ugh! The 6-in-1 is already sold out… 🙁
Just ordered 2 of the big ones. And thanks for the discount code saved me $20. Now I’ve gotta go back and watch your older vid on how to set them up. Thank you.
The prices aren't bad if you're allergic to making your own.
Oh boy, if I had this amazing vegetable garden I would do a proper SOLID FOOD VACATION, John Rose style!
I'm ecstatic about raised garden beds being available in usa, but I'm in Australia mate. Lol
Hail Marcus! After watching your videos umpteen times I have finally persuaded the MOFAW (Minister of Finance and War) to approve the purchase of four Birdie's Garden Beds. (4 for the price of 3 deal that's currently on offer.) I'm planning to half fill them with logs and wood-chips from trees felled on our two acre property before adding good organic soil. Oh, and I also subscribed to your channel.
I live in central California (Merced/Modesto) where so many fruits and vegetables are grown. The majority of water use is for a nice looking lawn, bushes, roses, pools, etc. Forgetting the preceding water use, I would like to figure out how to live off the 90×120 ft backyard with chicken cage size (Eggs/Chicken), solar greenhouse size (Starter, Winter, Other) and plantable garden Sq Foot need to produce vegetables (Max) /fruits (Min). Also welcome a honest opinon that if 90'x120' ain't gonna do it…what is the minimum size for me and my wife with occasional visitors. CHEERS!
This is so exciting. I actually have a question I'd been meaning to ask. You put your containers right on the ground , and I like the hugelkulture method you use to fill it. But, do you ever run into problems with insects making the raised bed into their new nest? In my area, imported red fire ants will invade any container that has nice soil in it. I've made planters out of tires, and filled them with good mixed soil, only to have to abandon them a year later when the ants have completely dug out the roots of the plants and made a hive of it. I fear that with a larger , taller raised bed, I'll just have a larger taller more inviting Ant Nest Apartment. Do you have any suggestions?
Hoping these take off, Mark. Gotta get a few things in order before making any purchases but I've bookmarked the website for later. These look fantastic, much better quality than a lot of other products I've seen advertised. Really excited because these look like just the thing I need. Digging huegel mounds isn't fun but I can use the same principal with these and no digging!
This is such exciting news! Also looking forward to the collaboration with Kevin, love his channel. Have you been working out Mark?
Hi Mark,
Bit off topic but I recall you mentioned in one of your videos the suburbs around where you live didnt have big price price increases during the boom like Melb/Syd.
I am so keen to find a property on a decent sized block. I would be set on 1500m2 to grow my own food. I am looking around 200-250k without a mortgage (i know its not much), but unsure where to look.
Which suburbs do you reccomend? Cheers
Congrats on a quarter of a million subs!
These things are insanely over priced, which u state in your ads
