  • Tony Nese beat Buddy Murphy to win the Cruiserweight Championship, Carmella wins Women’s Battle Royal

1.55am: Kostas Lianos at MetLife Stadium on Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins:

“Seth Rollins did what he promised us he would do and he slayed The Beast.

“This is a moment that will live forever, but not because of the quality of the match.

“But because of WWE’s decision to start things off with the Universal Championship Match and Rollins’ shock victory.

“The reason behind this decision is uncertain, but it could be WWE’s way of pointing out how radically things have changed.

“A few years ago Pay-Per-View events would start with the Women’s Championship, now they end the biggest show of the year with all-women’s title matches and start with the world title.”

1.49am: Shane McMahon beats The Miz in a Falls Count Anywhere match

The Miz got his revenge as he kept hammering away at Shane McMahon before the two rivals ended up high in the crowd.

They fought on a scaffolding before The Miz suplexed Shane off to the floor!

In the end it was Shane who ended up on top of Miz though and got the one, two, three. Not that he knew anything about it.

1.37am: This is violent! The Miz and Shane go straight at it and this is quite something.

Shane gets on top and none other than the father of The Miz confronts Shane. It doesn’t end well for him and that sends The Miz into a rage.

Miz takes it to Shane McMahon in the crowd and among the international announcers. Can’t help but support Miz here. Come on Miz!

1.25am: Shane McMahon vs The Miz in a Falls Count Anywhere match is next and this could be great.

The Best in the World is about to test himself with The Miz being cheered like crazy by MwtLife Stadium.

1.20am: The Usos beat Ricochet & Aleister Black, Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev and The Bar

The Usos are still the SmackDown Tag Team Champions. They connect with a double splash on Sheamus.

Ricochet and Aleister Black impressed throughout but were once again unable to capture the gold.

This was all sorts of fun though.

1.02am: The SmackDown Tag Team Championship is now on the line. This could be some match if given enough time.

Will The Usos retain or will we see new champions?

12.51am: AJ Styles beat Randy Orton

In a back and forth match Styles was able to avoid an RKO attempt and connect with a Phenomenal Forearm from the top rope.

Good match but nothing spectacular.

12.39am: Next up it is Randy Orton vs AJ Styles with King on commentary with Tom Phillips and Corey Graves.

I wonder if we will see a special RKO…

12.36am: Our reporter Kostas Lianos inside MetLife Stadium:

“The atmosphere here at MetLife Stadium is electric.

“People have travelled from all over the world to see their favourite superstars in action at The Showcase of the Immortals.

“The crowd is very active and can’t wait to witness some historic WrestleMania moments.

“We don’t yet know where the crowd is leaning regarding the main event, but we will surely find out soon.”

12.27am: Seth Rollins beat Brock Lesnar to win the Universal Championship

What a start to WrestleMania! Seth Rollins is thrown around like a ragdoll by Brock Lesnar outside the ring until they eventually go back inside and the match is underway.

The referee is then taken out of the equation by Lesnar and he pays for it as Seth low blows the Beast.

Three Stomps later and Seth Rollins is your NEW Universal Champion.

12.15am: Alexa Bliss comes out on stage and Hulk Hogan is introduced by the Goddess!

MetLife Stadium goes mad for the WWE hero as he does his usual spiel.

Paul Heyman stomps down the ramp and demands if they aren’t going on last then Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins are going on first!

12.05am: Here we go! It is time for WrestleMania LIVE from MetLife Stadium!

We’ve just had the American national anthem to kickoff the proceedings and the fans are ready for an exciting night of action.

11.50pm: Braun Strowman wins the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Braun Strowman is a wrecking ball! He literally eliminates everyone.

Michael Che and Colin Jost hide under the ring and try and help eliminate Strowman with The Hardy Boyz but Braun retaliates and we are left with both of them and the Monster Among Men.

Jost introduces his therapist who gets slaughtered by Braun. Che is put over the top rope by Strowman as Jost almost eliminates the Monster!

Braun eventually throws him over though and thankfully this storyline is over.

11.37pm: The action keeps coming and it is now time for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Can anyone beat Braun Strowman? Michael Che and Colin Jost of Saturday Night Live fame will try…

11.28pm: NEW RAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder beat The Revival

Curt Hawkins has broken the streak! He gets the one, two, three with a Small Package and we have new champions.

The MetLife crowd erupt at what they witness. Great moment for borh Hawkins and Ryder there and hopefully a sign of the electric atmosphere we will see tonight.

11.12pm: More in-ring action now as The Revival are set to defend the RAW Tag Team Championship against Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder.

Is the 269-match losing streak finally going to end?

The action is evenly paced at the start with Corey Graves adamant he is supporting The Revival.

10.55pm: Carmella WINS WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal

This was quite entertaining with lots of women having nice spots. The Riott Squad were given plenty to do with Sarah Logan the last person to be eliminated by Carmella.

Logan even managed to get rid of former SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka.

Notable performances from Sonya Deville and Dana Brooke as well but in the end Carmella gets the victory!

10.44pm: The WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal is up next and we are underway with Nikki Cross going mad.

Ember Moon is back! Could she be a surprise winner? There’s also a number of stars from NXT involved.

10.35pm:  Tony Nese beat Buddy Murphy to win the Cruiserweight Championship

Yes! We have a new champion! It looked like Buddy Murphy was going to win when he connected with Murphy’s Law.

Nese somehow kicked off and then delivered a German Suplex to the champion into the turnbuckle.

That was quickly followed up by the Running Nese and we have our first title change of WrestleMania 35. Congratulations to Tony Nese.

This should be tremendous.

10.15pm: The Kickoff Show is live and we start with Coach hosting with Paige, JBL and Sam Roberts on the panel.

We get the usual build and rundown of the card before we go backstage and an interview with Xavier Woods and Big E.

They are understandably excited about the prospect of their team-mate Kofi Kingston winning the WWE Championship.

9.45pm: There are currently four matches scheduled for the Kickoff Show so let’s take a look at them first.

We will see Tony Nese challenge Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy as well as the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

The second annual Women’s Battle Royal will also take place.

And just announced The Revival will defend the RAW Tag Team Championship against Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder.

9.30pm: It looks like it could be quite a night for fans at the event and watching all around the world. Could we see Seth Rollins dethrone Brock Lesnar?

Will Kofi Kingston finally achieve his dream of becoming WWE Champion? And what on earth is going to happen in the No Holds Barred match between Triple H and Batista?

WrestleMania has thrills and surprises every year and fans are waiting to see what happens this time with John Cena and Undertaker rumoured but not announced for the show.

If there’s one thing we know about WWE it’s you can never rule out anything!

9.15pm: Hello and welcome to the best day of the year for any serious WWE fan – it is of course WrestleMania!

We will take you through the entire event starting from the Kickoff Show which is set to take place in about 45 minutes.

The main show itself gets underway at midnight in the UK and is expected to go on until around 5am.

Ronda Rousey will take on Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat match with the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championships on the line in a historic main event.
