Mourinho wants Ter Stegen

08:50: Jose Mourinho is ready to break the bank – and lose his top players – in a bid to sign Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Don Balon claim Mourinho is accepting of the fact David de Gea could be on the move and is drawing up contingency plans as a result.

Mourinho is so determined to sign the 25-year-old he has instructed United’s hierarchy to pay Ter Stegen’s £157m release clause to bring him to Old Trafford.

Don Balon say the Red Devils will still need to sell more than just De Gea to raise the funds required to sign Ter Stegen though.

And Mourinho knows his best chance of pocketing a large sum would be to sell the likes of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.

Wilshere to Wolves

08.20: Jack Wilshere in on Wolves’ radar as they plot moves to bolster their side ahead of a Premier League charge.

Wolves secured promotion to the Premier League last week and want Wilshere to add some experience and quality to their squad.

Reports have emerged linking Ruben Neves to Liverpool and Wilshere could be his replacement if he does go.

Zidane dismisses Kepa deal

07.55: Zinedine Zidane has dismissed suggestions he regrets not signing Kepa in January.

The deal to take Kepa to Real Madrid was all but agreed before it fell apart meaning Zidane had to stick with Keylor Navas.

But Zidane claims it was never in his thoughts to bring in a new keeper midway through the season.

“How can I think that?” he said.

“Not at all, if I made the decision not to bring a goalkeeper in the middle of the season? For me that does not exist.

“When I start a season I start with three goalkeepers and finish with three goalkeepers.

“And nothing else, I do not have to say anything else, the rival goalkeeper is very good but he is not my player and in the middle of the season I do not need a goalkeeper.”

Jorginho on Man Utd’s radar

07.40: Jorginho has emerged as a top transfer target for Manchester United.

The Napoli star is expected to be on the move this summer with interest from Liverpool, Manchester City and now United.

The Independent report that United are monitoring his situation and may look to bring him to Old Trafford when the transfer window opens.

United need two central midfielders with Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini set to leave this summer.

Scholes backs Pogba exit

07.30: Paul Scholes thinks Paul Pogba could leave Manchester United this summer after a difficult second season under Jose Mourinho.

“I think he could,” Scholes said on BT Sport.

“I don’t know, I don’t speak to anyone at the club but from the outside looking in, it looks as though the relationship isn’t great.

“And when you see a performance like that on Sunday (against West Brom) you think he doesn’t care what the manager thinks.

“I think that’s disrespectful towards the manager and his team-mates.”

Neves to Liverpool?

07.15: Liverpool could sign Ruben Neves from Wolves according to reports in Portugal.

Portuguese journalist Marcus Alves claims ‘the pieces are moving in the market’ to see Neves join the Reds this summer.

He claims Anderson Talisca will join Wolves to ease the loss of Neves.

Simeone wants Griezmann to stay

07.00: Diego Simeone claims Antoine Griezmann could snub Barcelona and stay at Atletico Madrid.

“We want the best for Griezmann,” he said.

“We must make him see that this team can continue to grow, hopefully we will.

“That things are real, they are not in words. If we continue fighting with Barcelona and until the end in the Europa League, we will see that every year something good is done.

“We will have to give our side all the tools so that, when you have to decide, you will be inclined to continue with us.”
