Umtiti is one of several players who have been identified as expendable by Barcelona this summer.
However, Spurs might be cautious about signing a player whose time at the Nou Camp has been plagued by injuries.
Since arriving from Lyon for £24.6m in 2016, the left-footed centre-back has only made 114 appearances and has spent time on sidelines every season.
As for Semedo, talks between his representatives and Barcelona have been put on hold.
According to Spanish publication Sport, Barcelona have offered Semedo an extension until 2024 and are prepared to sell him if he doesn’t accept their offer.
Semedo’s current deal expires in 2022 and the 26-year-old is keen to see what interest he can generate in the summer before considering the possibility of resuming talks with the Catalan club.
