Judd Trump and Gary Wilson are both in a confident mood heading into their clash this afternoon.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Trump said: “I’ve put the practice in so hopefully get the rewards. I’ve been playing alright in practice, just kind of waiting for it to come out in a tournament. You’ve just got to wait bide your time.

“Now is the time you have to step up your level. I’m playing against another great player in Gary Wilson who has had a great season. I need to be on the top of my game. He’s a tough player to play against and a little unorthodox.”

Wilson added: “I feel like I’m playing okay. I’ve been playing okay for a couple of weeks now, it’s just snooker, matches can get close. The game can turn, you’re not really doing anything wrong.

“Things just don’t go your way. Thankfully I’ve been playing well enough to get over the line, made a good clearance yesterday to win. Yeah, doing okay.”
