REVEALED: Every Premier League and Championship match until the final day of the season could be televised live in a SEPARATE time slot in a feast of football – if government give green light to sport returning in June
- Move is dependent on Government green light for football to return next month
- The outstanding 200 matches may be played at different hours of the day
- With all Premier League and Championship matches shown on TV or online
- Discussions remain ongoing but move could see clubs air matches on YouTube
Every remaining match in the top two tiers – bar a dramatic final day – could be televised live in a separate time slot in an unprecedented move which would usher in a feast of football.
Should the Premier League and Championship return the vast majority of the outstanding 200 matches may be played at different hours of the day with all of them shown on television or online.
The stunning move is dependent on Government giving the green light for the sport to return next month.Â

Premier League clubs would also need to agree – at a crunch meeting set for Monday – to complete their season behind closed doors at between eight to 10 neutral venues and then ensure that their players were happy to come back amid what will be the continuing health risks over Covid-19.
If all goes to plan, three or four matches from both competitions would be shown each day in what would be a boon for those desperately missing the sport. It is hoped that televising each game would lift the mood of a nation starved of football.Â
It would also help to keep people indoors and reduce the prospect of fans turning up outside neutral venues – a concern which has already been raised.
While most games would have their own slot, it is likely that all kick-offs on the final day would remain at the same time to preserve the integrity of each competition.
Discussions with broadcasters remain ongoing but the move could see clubs air their own matches on YouTube channels.
