Santos winger Yeferson Soteldo has spilled the beans on his “dream” of joining Manchester United. The Venezuela international believes he is approaching the moment to quit South America for Europe. He is eager to help his current club to Copa Libertadores before moving on.
“I’ve been following Cristiano Ronaldo since I was a child, I saw him at Manchester United and that’s why my love and desire to play at Old Trafford,” he said. “I would choose easy. I would make a lifetime contract.”
A new winger is on the agenda for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho is his top target.
Sancho has been offered the No 7 shirt by United while a big-money deal is on the table.
Dortmund’s demands in excess of £100million could prove problematic, however.
While United are in a strong financial position, Ed Woodward has urged caution over transfer spending because of the coronavirus crisis.
