Suarez joined Liverpool from Ajax in January 2011 following the £50m departure of Fernando Torres to Premier League rivals Chelsea.

And the 31-year-old soon set about casting the Spaniard into distant memory before going on to outstrip his goalscoring exploits for the club.

Luis Suarez ultimately left Liverpool for Barcelona in the summer of 2014 after bagging 82 times in 133 games and winning the League Cup.

The Uruguayan is still talked of as one of the finest players Liverpool have had on their books over the past decade.

And he’s now offered his insight into what he makes of his three-and-a-half year stint at Anfield.

Suarez posted a picture of his son, Benjamin, on his Instagram Story yesterday.

And the Merseyside-born youngster was cuddling up to a Liverpool teddy bear.

On the post, in which Benjamin wore an Ajax kit, Suarez wrote: “What beautiful memories.”

And the hitman made sure to tag Liverpool and Ajax’s Instagram accounts for good measure.

Suarez has scored 150 goals in 193 appearances since leaving Liverpool for Barcelona.

And he’s won 10 trophies over the course of that period, including the Champions League.

Suarez returning to Liverpool was discussed when Barcelona targeted Philippe Coutinho.

But the La Liga giants ultimately stumped up £142m to prise the playmaker away from Anfield.
