There’s a secret I’ve been keeping for over two years. I’ve been designing a clothing line for girls like me who love getting all dressed up. I’ll admit, I knew this would be a huge undertaking—but the amount of work, tears, and money that actually went into creating this line was more than I ever could have imagined. And yet, every time I see my name on the tag (my middle name is Louise!), I still get chills. I honestly can’t believe I did it.

On www.ElouiseKeene.com you can shop five unique looks designed by me. Each one has matching accessories—fun hair bows, tilt hats, and even a coordinating scarf. To say that I obsessed over every detail would truly be an understatement. Now, I know what you might be thinking… two and a half years to design five looks? Well, not exactly. Over the years I actually designed many more pieces. But since this line is completely self-funded, launching everything at once simply wasn’t feasible. And… your girl got a serious reality check at some of the bells and whistles that I added to the pieces. It made them expensive to make and in turn expensive to sell. But it was all a learning process.

    Why am I telling you all of this? Because this blog has always been a place where I share my favorite things and experiences—both the good and the bad. So I figured, why not be completely honest about the process?It was really hard at times. I dealt with a few shady characters along the way (a story for another day), but I also met so many wonderful people who generously shared their guidance and knowledge and helped me get to this moment of finally being able to share these first five looks with you.
