• Paddy Pimblett has piled on the pounds following his win over Bobby Green
  • The UFC star is known for his ability to gain and shred weight between fights
  • He revealed what he did on holiday in Tenerife with his wife and two daughters

UFC star Paddy Pimblett has revealed his drastic weight gain within two weeks of choking out Bobby Green for his biggest win of his career in late July.

‘The Baddy’ forced Green to submit in the first round of their Manchester clash and the crowd chanted his name as he earned a £150,000 bonus and surged into the top 15 of the lightweight class.

Pimblett had a remarkable body transformation in the build-up to the fight, posting pictures of himself looking shredded as fans praised his ‘sheer willpower’.

Yet it would seem all that work is undone. Pimblett decided once again that it was time to be less disciplined, as he often does after fights.

Hitting the scales after a holiday in Tenerife, Pimblett found he weighed 42lb (19kg) more than he did before the fight.

Paddy Pimblett joked people would be calling him a ‘fat c***’ after he gained 42lb in a fortnight

Pimblett had soared from the 156lb (70kg) he weighed before the bout to 198lb (90kg) within a fortnight.

That means he had ballooned from lightweight to being almost eligible for the light heavyweight category.

‘I’m still a bit chubby. I’m not as fat as I have been but I’m still a bit chubby,’ he said on his YouTube channel after an indulgent trip to Tenerife.

‘We were eating all sorts. Chinese, Thai, steak, burgers, and sh**. I’m still looking forward to some scrans here. But I just need to train. That’s the main thing.

‘Obviously, eating copious amounts of food doesn’t help your weight, but when I don’t train, I put weight on.

‘(I’ll) Probably start getting called a fat c*** by everyone!’

On the trip, he took a selfie each day to track the change in his facial structure as he gorged.

However, Pimblett has wasted no time getting back to buisness on his return.

The 29-year-old went straight to NextGen to start getting in shape for his next challenge.

‘I’m still looking forward to some scrans here. But I just need to train. That’s the main thing, lad,’ he said.

Pimblett has won 22 fights and lost three and is expected to undertake another contest this year.
