Local election 2024 results in maps and charts

Counting and declarations will continue throughout much of Friday and into the weekend.

As well as the local councils, electors have been voting for ten regional mayors, including hard-fought races in the West Midlands and Tees Valley.

Separately, the London mayoral result is expected on Saturday evening, along with the 25 members of the London Assembly.

And there are 37 police and crime commissioner elections across most of England and all of Wales.

Like mayors, PCCs will be elected using first-past-the-post for the first time this year.
