Oh shut up. The players are young and healthy the “science” says their risk is very low. So a Truck Driver, Plumber, Grocery Worker can risk their health however a young millionaire can’t play baseball????
Max is low key smarter than Stephen a smith , most of the time sas logic is built through emotions .. just how he thought Kd and Kyrie was going to the knicks lol .. max uses logic and analytics and numbers don’t lie
I hate this guy
agreed, but i think mlb will SET THE TONE on the RETURN of SPORTS
Gee. This is real intelligent. They’re in the same boat as everyone else. The players are just as much the victim as the team executives are, if not more. And they’re gonna have to suffer for it. Hypocrisy in its ultimate form.
Wow an mlb segment on espn
Dookie.
Wow the white guy knows what hes saying
Glavine truth
Oh..steven a sorry..yep
It’s crony capitalism for ownerships to demand 0 risk and socialized the risks onto the players
lord, only wnba this summer? lol
I disagree completely with Stephen A. You can’t compare a rich athlete to a normal person playing filing for unemployment. I’ve been on both ends of the spectrum. These guys are THE BEST in the WORLD at what they do. A normal person can’t achieve that and most never win anything in their lives. It is an athletes RESPONSIBILITY to focus on two things 1) Their health 2) Their money. In our American society those two things control everything we do. The VIRUS THREATENS BOTH. So how can you NOT understand the players point of view ?
Baseball is a dead sport anyways so who cares lol
Snell said nothing wrong.
Screw baseball & the players! Bring on football!
Every time Stephen A talks baseball he has to mention MLB is behind NBA and NFL… WE GET IT
5:28 Stephen A "MedieR" Smith
this pandemic is making me hate espn
uncle tom SAS just doesnt care about workers in general always trumping well its implied that he supposedly does
I DONT FEEL SORRY FOR THE PLAYERS OR OWNERS … GO AHEAD CANCEL THE SEASON
I don't have an issue with players wanting their pro rated money for the amount of games played but this "everybody conducts business this way" excuse SAS and others keep giving the owners is exhaustingly ridiculous. At what point does someone raise the bar?
Gate receipts are the biggest source of revenue for MLB, unlike the NFL & NBA where TV is the biggest source of revenue. If gates receipts are 60% of revenue, that leaves only 40 cents on the dollar to pay salaries. So if salaries cost 50% of normal revenues the owners are better off financially to cancel the season. The day of reckoning is only deferred in the NBA & NFL until the salary cap resets to a lower figure due to lower revenues. All the players in all the leagues needs a vaccine that brings the fans back or the players will make less money because there is less money.
