Elvis Presley died on my twenty-fifth birthday, Aretha Franklin on my 66th, and Peter Fonda on my 67th birthday. How dare these people die on my birthday. They got a lot of nerve. I'm getting tired of famous people dying on my birthday. It took me one week after Aretha Franklin to realize, "Dummy, every famous person who has lived and died, has died on someone's birthday; and that person is not responsible for the death of that famous person." So I can now have a happy birthday, no matter what famous person has died on my birthday.

I hadn't heard about Valerie's passing until I read your post. She was a very funny lady on the tv shows I watched. Sad to see this. RIP to her & all the others. Maybe Peter & Dennis can meet up again!❤

Valerie! She was funny and beautiful! She beat cancer once…then it beat her….but she made it to 80! Cancer took the ones who did not want to go….suicide took the ones that did. RIP

as a 10 year old boy I named my dog Rhoda after Valerie Harper's character on the Mary Tyler Moore show. Also, you probably should have listed Easy Rider as Peter Fonda's memorable work, as it is arguably the definitive film of the 1960s and a cultural icon.
