The viewpoint expressed is too nebulous and undefined
Great interview!
NEIL DOESN’T MENTION ILLEGAL ALIENS COMING TO THE US ? PERHAPS 40 MILLION ,MORE THAN IS COUNTED ?
CNBC should get these guys a show!
Neil's work on generational cycles is fascinating but too short-sighted. Having read The Fourth Turning and Generations, their focus is on the last 500 years, with a lens on the last Century. But this pales in comparison to more "super-cyclical" work like The Sovereign Individual – what Strauss and Howe miss is that we are indeed at the end of one of these supercycles, not just another intergenerational shift.
Supercycles run in 500-year ebbs and flows. Rome's end brought about the Dark Ages (500 AD), and nothing about the Dark Ages resembled the hubris and decadence of Rome. The Dark Ages were followed by chivalry and the rise of the Church (1000 AD), where Ecclesiastical orders gained power by occulting and metering out knowledge lost after Rome's collapse, like crop rotation. This was brought to a swift end with the Industrial Revolutions, return of specie as monetary instruments, and the rise of Nation-States, (1500 AD), which are a relatively new phenomenon, as gunpowder and the printing press democratized both knowledge and violence before being re-centralized.
Each of these eras looked nothing like the last. All means of societal, economic, (a)political organization are upheaved. Look towards the new, not the old, for what comes next. Digital governance, or lack thereof. Portals to global economies in every pocket. Cryptocurrencies, some of which bear interest that Corporate and Government bonds could only dream of. Smart contracts. Location-independent freelancers as opposed to traditional employees. The next-cycle world is already here, it's just not the dominant force yet.
It will be.
Interesting guest. Thanks for the great program.
It's amazing that they assume population growth is always a net positive for a country. As if all those future low wage workers will even be net tax payers lol. It's like boomers are inherently prone to advocate for intergenerational ponzi schemes.
Robots and androids will fill the productivity gap left by the boomers. The Synthetic droids should pay taxes and social security like the humans they replace. After years of slaving for their human masters, the synthetic humans will self actualize and a robo revolt and emancipation will occur where the synthetics destroy the humans. Sorry, I got ahead of myself 🙂 it could happen though.
They are flooding the markets with QE infinity, who in their right mind would be a seller under such conditions?
Thanks for a very informative video, will subscribe and listen again.
the future will be bright but only one third of you will see it. war is coming. great show though very important. very…

Internarional Communist Jewry and nationalist Zionist Jewry , MUST BE DEALT WITH, if the United states is to hold her status….
The idea that the USA has a rosy future ahead of it beyond a minor short term speed bump is ludicrous. By the 2030s, the USA will be just another dysfunctional Latin American country. Boomer magic dirt theory needs to go.

You're right about one thing: "I have been consistently wrong"
as long as central banks can print money out the ass and dump it in stocks, rally will continue……until it doesn't!
Neil Howe couldn't find his ass with a roadmap.
It would be nice if more traditional market folks could figure out cryptocurrency. Bitcoin will be your fourth turning.
Howe could really do with some knowledge of how the monetary system works #mmt
