Shouldn’t you be looking into the ‘root causes’ of why someone would fly a drone into an airport’s airspace? Lol. That’s what you normally do with anti-social scumbags while allowing them to roam free making other peoples lives miserable. I guess we have to put up with drones shutting down our airports while the gov builds more youth centres or whatever they now do to deter crime. Anything other than punish criminals.

People have been flying RC (remote controlled) aircraft for over 50 years. Drones are ultra safe by comparison. They have onboard SatNav, Radar, and avoidance systems. Safey "fly back home" as well as "safe landing" if communication is lost with the pilot.
Worldwide, not one serious accident, and the few minor have been caused by toys not professional craft.
The biggest hazard to planes are birds … Birds have damaged and/or brought down more planes than anything else.
Then we have Terrorist.
Like freedom of speech on the internet, the government have been looking for any possible excuse to limit or stop drone usage.
I'm a professional film maker and use Drones as a "creative tool" … Adding great content to documentaries & drama.
I've spent many thousands on doing things right, yet when on a shoot I'm constantly being bothered by the general public because of all the scare mongering.
This incident (if real) is much like a terrorist driving a car into people. Do we ban cars … No!
Maximum flight time for a pro quad drone is 30 minutes. A huge commercial drone maybe 50 mins … Where's the evidence i.e. photos/film … Something that big will be very obvious and flashing like a Christmas tree? -
Remember adding extra rules or laws is not going to help anything… the are laws that prohibit you from flying this close but sadly does not prevent idiots doing so… please don't use this to add rules for one bad sheep when the ones who fly.. love to fly and would not be this stupped… please find them and let the drone pilots throw apples at them it will be educational
