If any state should leave it should be Texas. For you people who don’t know Texas history ,Texas used be a country for about 4 years which Sam Houston was the president twice. But they had to do annexation due to financial debt. I’m pretty confident now that Texas would enough to last on its own especially because of its main export,cotton,that is purchased a lot in Europe for clothing.

The CAexit people seem to be hoping the Donald will resist them so they can use CAexit as a bargaining chip. They are mis-calculating here. The Donald could let them go.
It is true that succession is unconstitutional under the current supreme court precedents. But there is nothing in supreme court precedents requiring the President to fight a war of succession. That would be a "political question".
And how about the political question? The "let them go" speech almost writes itself. The historical Civil War was about the titanic issue of slavery, (it will say). It was about the freedom of millions of people and the moral character of the US. But CAexit, on the other hand, will be about the whims of the self entitled brats of the establishment. Those whims are not worth one of the people that would be killed.
Trump could go on and on about the anguish of the wives, daughters and girl friends of the soldiers who would be killed or injured. Thus proving that he cares about women! He could go on and on about the pain from the soldier's wounds proving that he cares about ordinary people. Queue violins here. He could remind everyone how he campaigned against "stupid wars". A ruling from the supreme court could not stand against such arguments. The speech writes itself. Trump is an expert at "wrong footing" his opposition.
Of course, the real, behind the scenes real reason for the policy would be that the Democrats would loose 2 senators and never have a chance of winning a Presidential election again. Republican control locked in for the indefinite future.
CA would have to buy its water and its electricity on the world price. Not much regulation or price controls on international commerce.
