Conor McGregor’s next opponent announced
UFC president Dana White has revealed that Conor McGregor will be welcomed back to the Octagon by new lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov.
During the UFC 225 post-fight press conference, White was asked what is next for the undefeated Nurmagomedov, and replied: “.”
McGregor, 29, hasn’t graced the Octagon since his historic UFC 205 victory over Eddie Alvarez, a triumph which saw him become the first fighter in the promotion’s history to hold two titles simultaneously.
Conor McGregor concern revealed
White has revealed he’s worried McGregor may not be able to re-enter the United States if he’s found guilty of any the charges facing him following his actions at the UFC 223 media day.
“Yeah, yeah,” the UFC chief told TSN’s Kara Wagland when asked if he was concerned that McGregor may not be allowed to enter America again.
“Yeah, if you look at how long he’s been out since the Mayweather fight, he maybe could’ve been number one, to be honest with you,” White told Michaela Vernava when asked if McGregor could’ve claimed the second spot on Forbes’ Highest-Paid Athletes list.
“If he would’ve kept fighting the way that he fought before the Mayweather fight.
“So yeah, no, that’s true.”
