Taylor Swift seems to be everywhere right now, not that I’m complaining. For one, she’s dressing so well this summer. Her custom Givenchy gown at the Songwriters Hall of Fame induction, her Stevie Knicks shirt, her perfect wedding-guest dress…the list goes on. And now add to the list the elevated street style moment she wore as she ducked into—prepare yourself—the studio. Don’t jinx it. But…TS13?? Actually, rumors are saying it was Rachel Antonoff’s birthday party, which is why she was there with the Haims.
Until we know for sure, let’s focus on the clothes! Swift, who currently has a number-one hit thanks to her contribution to the Toy Story 5 soundtrack, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” stopped by Electric Lady Studios in New York City on Monday, June 15, looking very Midnights in a top from her friend Gigi Hadid’s brand Guest In Residence. That particular mustard color is unfortunately sold out, but the navy and sky blue versions are still available.
She paired the polo with light-wash jeans for an outfit that would have been fine, if somewhat simple, but was elevated into an all-timer by the perfectly matched accessories. Her bag (Chloé), shoes (Gucci), and belt are all the same shade of rich, warm orange-brown as the hemline of her shirt. The combination instantly makes this ensemble feel intentional, polished, and expensive.

It’s the “sandwich styling” method at work. Basically, the idea is to match the top in color or volume to your shoe—the “bread”—while the middle (pants, skirt, etc.) functions as the meat of this outfit “sandwich.” You can do it by matching your scarf to your socks, your headband to your shoes, your sweater to your…you get it. If you want to dress exactly like Swift, it’s as easy as finding shoes and a belt in similar tones as a knit polo. Simple, but effective!
