The NBA finals don’t start for a week, but as far as we’re concerned, an MVP has already been chosen: Jordyn Woods takes the trophy for Most Valuable Personal (Style) for all her hard work wearing Knicks gear to games while supporting fiancé Karl-Anthony Towns.

As much as we love the rise of the WAG, we’re sure it has to get a little tiring to constantly find new ways to combine the (often garish) colors of a professional sports team knowing you’ll be photographed. Gone are the days when simply throwing on your man’s jersey and calling it a day would suffice. Instead, famous partners like Woods are expected to source vintage, one-of-a-kind, custom, or designer gear that’s somehow both flattering and, in her case, bright orange and blue. But Woods has thrown herself into the task with admirable aplomb, giving us all some major inspo for our game-day outfits, whether we’re watching from the stands, a bar, or our couches.

“My outfits are completely mood-based,” Woods told Vogue about her game-day style, explaining that spontaneity and intentionality work hand in hand. “Usually there’s one piece I know I want to wear, and then I build the look around it. Most of the time I’m putting everything together an hour before I leave the house. Somehow the pressure always makes the look better.

“My favorite pieces usually start as an idea in my head and come to life with the help of an incredible tailor who can execute the vision,” she continued. “I’ll literally bring her a T-shirt or a pair of jeans, and we’ll start cutting, pinning, and rebuilding it from there. I love the collaborative process of turning something simple into a one-of-one piece.”

Of course, she knows she has to represent herself well in one of the most fashionable cities on earth: “New York sets the bar incredibly high.… The energy inside Madison Square Garden is unreal, and somehow the games almost always manage to give everyone a heart attack in the final minutes. There’s really nothing like a home game at the Garden.”

Here, some of our favorite looks of hers from the season.
