Best Non-Slip: Bombas Low-Cut No-Show Socks
Why I love them: Bombas is one of the most recognizable sock brands right now, and I’ve had consistently good experiences with its styles—these included. They’re a dependable, high-quality no-show sock that stays put without rubbing, thanks to an elastic non-slip grip all along the opening and a lines of spongy silicone in the heel. They’re lightweight and comfortable, with a fairly low-cut shape that works under most of my flats and loafers—though they do peek out slightly in lower-profile pairs like my Mary Jane sneakers.
- Worth noting: Not low-cut enough for some shoe styles; no cushioning
- Sizing: 4–13
- Material: 59% cotton, 27% polyester, 11% nylon, 3% elastane
- Pairs per pack: 1, 4, or 8
Best for Ballet Flats: Sheecs Ultra Low-Cut No-Show Liners
Why we love them: I wear these ultra low-cut socks with my most minimal shoes—especially ballet flats (and even some heels) that show a lot of the top of my foot, and stay put. The design is clever: There’s a long strip of grip along the back of the heel and another along the front edge, and these combined with the pressure of a fitted shoe help lock everything in place. Most liners I’ve tried just have silicone under the heel, which tends to slip off the back of my foot, but these don’t. They create just enough of a barrier to prevent the rubbing and blisters I usually get with flats and heels, without showing. I’ve now owned these socks for two years and they’ve held up to multiple washes.
