Jake Paul‘s clash with Gervonta Davis has been called off after ‘Tank’ was accused of attacking his ex-partner at a Miami strip club.
The world lightweight champion, who was scheduled to face Paul in a bizarre 195lb exhibition in Miami on November 14, faces fresh allegations of domestic violence.
Davis, 30, has been hit with a lawsuit by former partner, Courtney Rossel. He is accused of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The alleged attack took place at a strip club where Rossel was working as a VIP cocktail waitress. It is the latest in a long line of legal issues for the boxer.
Just four months ago, Davis was arrested on a battery charge that was later dropped by another ex-girlfriend.
Over the weekend, it emerged that Paul had begun the hunt for a new opponent and on Monday, his ‘Most Valuable Promotions’ confirmed that they are now planning for the YouTuber-turned-boxer to headline another event on Netflix before the end of 2025.

‘Our team has worked closely with all parties to navigate this situation responsibly,’ Nakisa Bidarian, CEO of Most Valuable Promotions, said in a statement.
‘While we will not be moving forward with this event, our plan still remains for Jake Paul to headline an event on Netflix in 2025.
‘Details regarding a new date, location, Jake’s opponent, and additional bouts will be shared as soon as they are finalized.’
According to the lawsuit, obtained by ESPN, the alleged incident involving Davis occurred at Tootsies Cabaret, where Rossel worked as a server.
The filing claims Davis entered the club early Monday morning, assaulted her in a private area without surveillance. The boxer is said to have continued the attack as he forced her through several back areas of the building and into the parking garage.
Rossel claims they were in a five-month relationship and that the incident followed multiple episodes of alleged abuse. The complaint details at least four previous altercations, including two in which Davis allegedly threatened to kill her.
One confrontation reportedly occurred on September 2, after Rossel failed to respond to messages from the boxer.
Another took place on September 23, when Davis allegedly accused her of infidelity, sent a text threatening to kill her, and then assaulted her at a restaurant on Lincoln Road.

Following this week’s alleged attack, Davis is said to have texted Rossel that he was ‘on [his] way’ to her home, which she interpreted as a continued threat.
Attorney Jeffery Chukwuma, representing Rossel, confirmed that a report was also filed with the Miami Gardens Police Department.
The lawsuit says Rossel is now undergoing therapy for post-traumatic stress and anxiety and is living with others out of fear for her safety. She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages and has requested a jury trial.
Davis has previously faced domestic violence allegations and a 2023 hit-and-run conviction in Baltimore that resulted in 90 days of home detention and three years of probation.
