Selena Gomez hath spoken: We’re officially in cozy season. The actor said so (sartorially, at least) when she stepped out for dinner with friends in Santa Monica on October 23 wearing the fashion equivalent of a warm hug.
The newlywed layered a cream coat over an oatmeal-colored crewneck sweaterdress that just kissed her ankles. A supple white leather handbag and woven white Mary Jane ballet flats added to the luxurious textures at play in the deceptively simple look. I know the quiet-luxury trend is a bit passé in the micro-trend-obsessed world of social media, but folks, this is how you do it.

Gomez’s glam was the icing on the cozy cake. The 33-year-old was heavy-handed with her blush, giving herself the rosy flush of someone who’s just spent an hour in front of an open fire, a glass of red wine in hand. Speaking of wine, her almond-shaped nails were screaming “fall” in a glossy merlot shade that will always be on trend during this, the season of pumpkin spice. And what goes better with a perfectly polished manicure than a whopper of a diamond ring? Two diamond rings.
Tom Bachik, Gomez’s nail artist, recently gave fans a better look at her diamond-encrusted wedding band, which sits next to her massive engagement ring from her husband, Benny Blanco. Some luxury is quiet, but that luxury is screaming.
